Version 1.0 · Effective 1 January 2026
Use the platform lawfully
- Comply with the marketing, privacy and consumer laws that apply to your business and to the markets you target.
- Only promote products and services you are legally permitted to sell.
- Hold any licence or registration your sector requires, particularly in financial services, healthcare, education and legal services.
Be honest in your campaigns
- Identify your business accurately as the sender.
- Do not make claims you cannot substantiate.
- Do not create false urgency or fake scarcity.
- Make sure your offer is one you will honour.
Respect the recipient
- Do not remove or interfere with the unsubscribe mechanism.
- Do not re-contact someone who unsubscribed through another route.
- Keep sending frequency reasonable.
- Treat a non-response as a no.
Handle data properly
- Do not attempt to extract, copy or reconstruct the customer database.
- Do not resell or share customer details you obtain through engagement.
- Keep any personal data you export from your own list secure.
- Honour requests from individuals to be removed from your records.
Look after your sending reputation
- Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your sending domain.
- Use a business mailbox on your own domain rather than a free consumer address.
- Watch your bounce rate and act on mailbox health warnings.
- Do not connect aliases to try to increase capacity — it does not work, and it breaches the Email Marketing Policy.
What happens if you do not
We may pause a campaign, pause a mailbox, suspend your account or terminate it. For serious breaches we act immediately and without notice. We may also be required to share information with your email provider or with authorities.
